Recommended course of study for the primary school teaching degree programme

❗ Valid for first-year students from winter semester 2025/26 ❗

In the degree programme for primary school teaching, you study four subjects at the same time. As this can be challenging, the subjects have agreed on a common, recommended study programme for the Bachelor's degree. This allows you to see at a glance which modules are planned and when. At the moment, this recommendation may still differ from the module descriptions in the study information, as these are gradually being adapted to the new study programme.

The new study plans initially only apply to students starting their studies in the winter semester 2025/26. If you have already started your degree programme before this date, you will continue to study in accordance with the module descriptions in the study information.

During the transition phase to the new study programmes, teaching and room capacities may be limited in individual cases. If you are unable to find a place in one of the courses recommended for the first subject-related semester, please seek advice from your subject or from the Teacher Training student counselling service. You will then receive an individual recommendation.

The study plans are a recommendation : You can study differently. However, please note that we try to coordinate the courses based on the recommended study programme with as little overlap as possible. Deviations from the recommended study programme may therefore lead to an extension of the study period.

On this page you will find the recommended study programme for the primary school teaching degree. You can find study programmes for primary school teaching with integrated special education here.
